Hoping against Hope...!!!

It had always been a very tiring start to every day for me. Not because of the booze but probably a hangover of the excess efforts I try to put in from my side in any aspect. But that day was a little different. I still remember it was early morning on August 5th, 2011 and I woke up quite fresh. Though it was the last working day of the week, the successful project release a day before had helped me gain some unplanned rest and peace, both mentally and physically.

When I started to browse on my Smart phone for the morning news I was quite surprised. Ah, that made my start so dramatic reading it. I got a pinch in my head straight away. That was not because of someone physically pinching me but was an effort of times of India online news site. The news of a campaign for making the age limit to drink liquor at 25 pondered me with silence. I can still recollect what went through my mind that day, penned down here for a read.

India is of course a democratic, secular nation with many laws and regulations going against the people who want to party hard. Few days back we were playing loud music at a friend's place when the cops arrived and intervened our celebration at around 1 "AM". This was of course an action taken up keeping in mind the violation of a few laws which we were not aware of.  Well on the brighter side of it, if it happens to you sometime, let me tell you that you can get rid of the situation with just a Rs.500 note slipping outta your pocket and falling in the hands of the policeman in front of you or maybe even a lesser amount.

We all know how well maintained are the laws in our country and how well do the officers work in order to implement them. I recalled that earlier sometime when I went to watch the famous movie ‘Delhi Belly’ in my hometown I was a bit surprised to see the school kids joining me in. When I asked the staff there they said exactly these words as quoted: "Are bhai, pura show khaali ja raha hain, koi nahi aata hain ab dekhne 1 hafta ho gaya hain. Agar theatre ko loss me nahi le jana hain to ticket to bechna hi padega na " (All the shows are going empty now as the movie is now a week old, if we don’t sell the tickets to everyone it would lead the theatre in huge loss). Well, at these places it’s the duty of the staff there to implement the rules and regulations on minors. But the lust to earn more and loose less has changed the scenario in today's world and the game altogether.

What I meant to convey is that what happened at the theater or at the party spot can definitely happen again at the liquor shop too. If the government plans to approve the laws made by the bureaucrats of the nation then they should also make it a serious issue to enforce them. People above the age of 18 are considered as adults. Above 21 a guy can marry as well. These rules have been taken up seriously, though not at all the places, and have been an integral part of the society since ages now. But laws restricting someone to enter a theater or a place where a minor shouldn't be, are hardly even known. Our country has been developing since freedom now, but the thoughts of the people are already developed to a large extent, even surpassing the western culture in a number of ways.

A lokpal bill which was supported by all the sections of the society and for which each and every Indian came forward to echo his/her voice along is still to be induced successfully in the Indian Law system. I wonder how can one even think of implementing this law for liquor ban under age 25, when all the people falling in the banned age group (of course not the minors) are going to protest against it. Even if they show some respect for the nation and do support it, which would actually be a surprise to me, through signature campaigns or other stuffs, they are definitely going to have party at weekends with drinks flowing like The Nile.

To be honest there is no use of diverting the attention of the people at any point from the serious issues that pertain in the Indian society at any given instance. Instead everyone responsible should look for solving the issues which are more important, and in turn beneficial for the society as a whole.

Google with apt words and it will show you the condition of the people in the under age group (25) not just drinking but even going beyond the limits with different sorts of natural and chemical drugs. Definitely I too would love to stop these insane acts by the youth of the nation but unfortunately we can’t. This is a problem across all the countries in the world, and this, my dear friends is ‘India’. News like these and even thoughts just bring out a smile on my face with a thought that we are still “Hoping against Hope”.

Incredible India

A blend of culture, a mix of religion,
India is - my country, my Nation.
An abode of thousands of Gods, a land of faith,
A union of seven territories and twenty eight states.

The beauty of Kashmir, the weather of Bangalore,
The abundant flora and fauna, the riches of monazite ore,
The warriors of Punjab, the South Indian brain;
The heat of summer or the monsoon’s rain.

Not just one, but the combination of all,
With love and dignity, United we stand tall.
Living together, in joy and in sorrow,
We all just hope, for a more developed tomorrow.

I pledge today to protect the children, the women, the poor, the weak,
To strive together for the peace we seek.
I Stand with my head high, bowing it before the flag of my nation,
To live for it till the day of my cremation.

........ the red rangoli

She looked so simple, so plain and so holy
The girl who made the red rangoli.........

She was working so hard like a busy alveoli
The girl who made the red rangoli........

She designed it so great, all i missed was a cannoli
The girl who made the red rangoli..........

She kept on and on, though i must have been an emboli
The girl who made the red rangoli.......

She once looked at me, i felt like having a ravioli
The girl who made the red rangoli..........

When done, I was mesmerized while she stood all soli
The girl who made the red rangoli.......

She went off and a breeze checked me savory
Of the girl who made the red rangoli........

I hope its time and she'll creep out my mind slowly
But i'll still remember the girl who made the red rangoli......

A Wait that... will ever end????

Time has been flying off like a bullet from a gun since i headed to the southern part of our holy India. This day (02 Aug) counts on to be the 18th day, precisely, and ya of course i have managed to learn alot of things. Dint know how to start up the blog, i can say i was waiting for this very day to arrive so that i can pen down or rather type down ( :P) a few thoughts running through my mind. A quick flash back shows how i managed to reach Bangalore with the help of two of my great friends, who took alot of care while travelling keeping in their minds that the left half,oh, i mean the left hand of mine was almost, ahem ahem, outta order i can say :D . Well thanks to the nervous system of my body for this :P.

Bangalore (13 days) : Well i have always wanted to live in this city since my inception  [;) ]but unfortunately during the course of my journey to the holy land for me i was cursed by  a mail that said i had to join office in Chennai. I can say probably this was also one of the reasons for me to just keep myself behind the bars of the house throughout the time i stayed there. I stayed at my bhaiya's house there in Marathalli. Well since the time i had reached chennai i have really started to compare the areas in Bangalore and Chennai where the big giants (IT companies) are located. Bangalore due to bhai i had a chance to visit the place called Eco space where one can find the offices of companies like Cap Gemini, Accenture etc..

In chennai too we have a whole area falling in and around the Old Mahabalipuram Road abbreviated as OMR where the IT sector companies are located. But of course there is a huge difference between the two cities. Of course Bangalore is good for me and anyone coming from the northern part of India. The reason being just the Temperature and humidity difference between the two cities. 13 days at bangalore had been probably the best time i could have spent before i had a go at my corporate life. And of course all credited goes to the bhai log in bangalore. Partying every night, cooking food and playing cards are the things i am gonna miss always. Bangalore really rocks man and is the city to be in. Life there is too easy, in the sense that every thing is just a phone call away. Of course the cost of living is high there but then it matches the standards too. Well Chennai ain't bad either..

Chennai (Since 27th July to Present) : Well i really dont know how long i have to stay here at this place. But yeah i will always keep praying to god that pleace relocate me to Bangalore. Well looking at my office and its building here in chennai did make me rethink bout my prayers. :P

Chennai is not the place i had wanted to reside in or rather Chennai would never itself want a guy like me to live in its territory :P . But i guess god's grace always falls on me and he now wants me to learn to live in new places which can shape my a*****e by screwing me with its bold and beautiful climate and atmosphere :( . Oh god, trust me, i am a good guy, please dont do this to me :( :( .
Well Chennai apart, i think corporate world is not that bad as the impression we had had in our cerebrum. I really enjoyed my first day at my company signing nearly 52 times, ofcourse at 52 different places :) .  The induction program was also good for the new trainees there. However  today happens to be the 4th day at training but we are yet to start being trained on anything. But even this situation is being worthy as me and batchie's can browse through the net sitting calmly in an air-conditioned room and in turn get paid for that too. Who wont like it...???? :D

Oh sorry, i titled the post as a wait that will never end and wrote something different totally.. well i guess of course one can call it to be a Brainless Reflection :D . But ironically the title suits the post too. Wondering how..?? Well we all have been waiting to get our hands on the corporate life asap, and of course the wait is yet to be over.... I just hope it ends today and we start being fruitful towards our master... :) . Of course i will work as hard as possible and whenever i get a chance to claim my reward i will ask for a relocation. I love my company but i want it to love me as well :( :( . I wil be loyal to it, and expect it to keep appreciation my efforts, not by goodies, not by money but ya by halping me get the Job (On-sight) Satisfaction :) . Hope you got it ;)

Signing off..... but not logging off.. :P
